Identifying Stress and Depression in the Workplace
This half day (3.5 hr) workshop has been designed for managers and OH&S representative who want to learn more about how to identify and respond to the signs of stress, burnout, depression and anxiety in the workplace.
The workshop looks at common early warning signs that often appear in the workplace and examines techniques for approaching workers who are displaying signs of not coping. It also explores common workplace causes of stress and ways to encourage workers to engage in self care activities.
The workshop will also provide a model of debriefing that can be used to help workers
to disassociate from challenging and confronting clients.
The incidence of depression and stress in the workplace is on the rise and the effects on the worker, the staff team, the clients and the organisation are significant. This workshop will help identify those people who are at risk to ensure they receive help and support early.
