Responding Effectively to Non-Suicidal Self-Injury (Self Harm)

Research tells us that the rate of non-suicidal self-injury is increasing.

Do you know how to respond effectively to people who are engaging in non-suicidal self-injury?

This half day program course will look at what constitutes non-suicidal self-injury, why people engage in it and how best to respond to and reduce the incidence of this behaviour.

This course has a practical focus and has been developed to address the needs of non-therapeutic workers such as teachers, youth workers, refuge workers and community workers.  It draws from practical experience and research.  It will equip workers with strategies that are current, have been tried and tested and are easy to implement.

Course Length: 3.5 hrs
