Dust and other airborne particles are the automotive spray painter’s enemy creating extra work. The static charge building up on the painting surface is what attracts particles.
Spraying down with air before painting can increase the static charge causing particles to re-stick to the surface. The solution is to use an anti-static gun before each coat.
